Students have the opportunity to talk to our experienced counsellor at any time, should they need it. We also take a proactive approach to healthy eating and the benefits of exercise for all students.
Nurse Julie is a RMN trained nurse and acts as liaison between all services - referring students if necessary to outside agencies, GP services and counsellors.
Our nurse supports and advises Houseparents, and links to students’ GPs to provide a holistic approach to each student’s health care. She arranges off-site medical appointments and has close links with other specialist healthcare professionals, such as diabetic specialist nurses.
The nurse also provides training for NCW teaching staff to ensure a high and consistent standard of knowledge across the Campus.
