NCW staff and visiting speaker Dr Chris Stonehouse, the VI Resource Base leader and QTVI at World's End Infant and Nursery School in Birmingham, focus on the needs of primary school students with a visual impairment.
Choose one or two days, with overnight accommodation provided if booking both days.
Topics will include pre-Braille and Literacy, PE, Numeracy and Mathematics, Independent Living Skills, ICT and Science. There will also be an opportunity to take a tour of the NCW campus.
Monday: Pre-Braille and Literacy, Social Skills and PE.
Tuesday: Numeracy and Mathematics, and Independent Living Skills.
The course can be booked either for a single day or for the two days. When booking please select either 11th June, 12th June or the two day option 11th-12th June.
Who should attend:
Teachers and teaching assistants working with a primary school aged child, or parents of a visually impaired child at primary school.
The cost per day per delegate for this course is £80, or £150 for both days. You will be invoiced on receipt of your booking form. Free accommodation is offered for those booking both days (subject to availability)
