Ski Trip
On the 19th of March a group of 17 students and 17 staff and volunteers set off for Puy Saint Vincent in France for a week of skiing. The journey was a long haul of 25 hours so we were all delighted to finally arrive at the resort. After a good nights sleep, skiing began the next morning with much excitement and a little nervousness from the beginners.
Everyone had a fabulous weeks skiing, whether they were learning to ski or improving their technique. All of the guides worked really hard to ensure the students had a good experience. The weather was reasonably kind considering it was quite late in the season with one fantastically sunny day where we all got a lovely tan and another where it rained all morning! It did mean that we had a range of snow conditions for the students to experience. School staff organised some fun evening activities including a snowy/skiing based quiz and a snow sculpture competition which produced some very strange creations and led to a snowball fight! The hotel, its friendly staff and excellent food were as fantastic as ever. Many of the students made excellent progress with their skiing, met lots of new people, experienced a different culture and had an all-round excellent week.
