Fantastic Fun in France

It was dark and early on a January Saturday, 4.30am to be exact, when nine students and five staff collected themselves together at NCW, ready for the minibus journey to Birmingham Airport. NCW Shares Expertise in Norway

New College Worcester is involved in an exciting European Erasmus+ funded project with partners from Norway, Germany, England, Finland and the BDFA (Batten Disease Family Association). The aim of the project is to establish a knowledge base in approaches to learning for young people with the rare genetic disorder JNCL (Juvenile Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis) – also known as Batten Disease, to ensure the highest quality of education and educational practice across Europe.

Great NCW Bake Off

Staff and students at New College Worcester for children and young people who are blind or partially sighted, have been baking cakes to raise money for Children in Need. As part of their fundraising week all students and staff were invited to take part in a Great NCW Bake Off competition and the entries were judged by Mrs Nathalie Bufton, Head of Independent Living Skills department, and Mr Robin Walker MP.

NCW in Berlin

The NCW Travel Club took to the skies again in October as a group of staff and students departed for the beautiful tree-filled city of Berlin. Ten students and six staff were determined to explore the history of this extraordinary city and experience present day Berlin for themselves.
