NCW Student Wins Sporting Award
Congratulations to Year 12 student, Jack who has been awarded OCS Young Sports Person 2009 for his achievements over the past year. Jack was invited to an awards ceremony at The Brit Oval in London, where he met many famous Sporting and Olympic Personalities and enjoyed a wonderful day that included a dinner and formal awards ceremony.
He received his award from Clare Balding, the BBC Sports Presenter and Ron Jones who has represented G.B. in the Olympic and Commonwealth Games. Jack is currently ranked number 2 in the UK for the 100m, 200m and long jump and achieved his personal best in all three events at the IBSA World Championships in Colorado where he won Silver and two Bronze Medals. Having had a successful 2009, Jack is working towards the 2012 Paralympics by continuing to focus on his training and improving his Personal Bests.
