Football in Front of Thousands!
The NCW Football club were lucky enough to be invited to perform a five minute display of football skills at Coventry City Football club before the big match against Hull City. Students showed their skills in goal shooting, dribbling and passing to the crowd of 12,000 supporters, who were very supportive and gave them a huge round of applause.
This wonderful opportunity was organised by BBS (British Blind Sport), a charity that funds sporting opportunities for the visually impaired, including the National Schools Swimming Gala and Football and Athletics tournaments that NCW students take part in each year.
Jane Price, Head of PE said “The atmosphere in the stadium was fantastic and the crowd were so supportive. The students felt like professional footballers! We are so grateful to Coventry City Football Club and BBS for this opportunity.”
