Charity Of The Year
Is your company looking for a new charity to support this year?
If you choose New College Worcester, you will be supporting blind and partially sighted children and young people aged 11- 19 years, in education.
Our Fundraiser will support you throughout the year, attending and assisting at your events, providing literature and displays.
Our Senior Leadership Team, teachers and students can give talks to your staff at your business workplace. You are welcome to visit the College by prior arrangement to meet staff and students and see at first hand the important work we do.
Some of the ways you can fundraise for NCW are:
- Hold a coffee morning or an afternoon tea party
- Have a sponsored dress down, silly tie or dress swap day
- Have a raffle or a tombola
- Organise a Golf day at your local club
- Use the College sports facilities to host a sports day
- Give through Payroll Giving (details below)
We will work with you on local, national and website PR coverage of your fundraising events.
In 2011 we were generously supported by Crowther Beard Chartered Accountants.

John Painter, Managing Member says:
"Each year Chartered Accountants, Crowther Beard LLP, who have offices in Worcester and Tewkesbury, choose a charity to support. We knew of New College as it is prominent in Worcester and in 2011 it was our chosen Charity. To help raise money we held a Strawberry Cream Tea in June and in October we held a golf day and promoted the College at the Business Expo organised by the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce.
On a recent visit to the school four of the Crowther Beard team were shown around by the Head Boy and were very impressed with what they saw and surprised at the cost of much of the equipment needed. This has galvanised our efforts to raise as much as we can for the College as Managing Partner John Painter said, “ The cost of some of the equipment would be beyond the means of the families of some of the students and we hope that our financial support will help alleviate that.
We were impressed not only with the standard of work from the students at the College but also with the conduct and manner of them too. It has been a pleasure to be working with the College and because it is such a worthwhile cause it has helped to bring our team together too."
