BBC Children In Need Donate £83,074!
We are delighted to announce that BBC Children in Need have donated £83,074 to NCW to help us refurbish one of our Independent Living Skills rooms.
The refurbishment of this room will provide our students with various new resources and equipment including, fitted kitchen bays that will be a variety of different, textures styles and colours to help our students with sensory and physical impairment. A rise and fall unit that will be accessible for students who are in wheelchairs or require a low unit. Windows with black out blinds that will assist students that are intolerant to light and different textured flooring that will help student navigate around the room.
Work is due to start on the rooms in July with completion set for September 2010, when BBC Children in Need cameras will be joining us to report on the project.
